How to Extract Potato Starch ~ DIY
An alternative to corn starch, and / or to help reduce starch intake for those with dietary concerns about starches. Not to mention it makes the potatoes taste better, "cleaner".
The amount of starch removed will depend on type of potato and size of slices, cubes or shreds...the smaller pieces yield more starch.

Flip Flop Refashion ~ How to DIY
This is the 1st video in our series of flip flop refashions. Very simple! You can fix flip flops that have broken straps, update an older pair or if you're like me and don't really like flip flops, you can transform a new pair into sandals you will love. All you need is ribbon or string of choice (for these I've used an old scarf), embellishments if desired, hot glue gun, scissors and of course a pair of flip flops.

How to Make Homemade Chocolate Syrup ~ DIY
This Chocolate Syrup recipe has no artificial ingredients. It is simple, quick, economical and most importantly, delicious! You should try it!
You will need: a medium to large saucepan; a whisk; something to bottle the syrup in; a funnel is very handy;
and, of course:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions: Blend together sugar and cocoa in the pan. Pour in boiling water and mix together well. On high heat, bring mixture to a boil while constantly stirring. Once the mixture has reached a rolling boil, continue to boil while stirring, for 2 minutes. Then, remove from heat and add 1 tsp vanilla. Mix well. Let sit and cool. Pour into a bottle or jar for storage. Enjoy!
